I am researching Virgil Newton Foster who was born in 1924, the son of Frances Green(e)and a man of last name Tegeler. Frances Green was born in Grayville, Illinois, in 1905, the daughter of Thomas Louis Green and Susie Myrtle Robinson. Susie later marries Bert Frisbie in Iowa. On the 1925 Hickory Grove, Jasper County, Iowa, census, Frances is listed as Frances Tegeler and son Virgil Newton Tegeler age 10 months old is with her. Frances is in the household with her sister Anna Green Morgart and husband Rallie or Rollie Newton Morgart. In 1925, Frances remarries to Clyde Earl Foster of Grinnell, Iowa. At that point, Virgil Newton "takes" the last name Foster. Clyde and Frances have three children: Dorothy, Charles and Richard. In Richard's obituary of 1992, it states that a sister, Phyllis Tegeler, predeceased him. Following Clyde Earl's death, Frances marries Fred Pfeiffer of Grinnell, Iowa.
In researching Tegelers, I find Theresa Pfeiffer Tegeler with sons, Louis and Everard, and other family members are on the Buena Vista, Iowa, 1925 census. Theresa, Louis, Louis's daughter Beulah and Everard are all buried in Storm Lake, Iowa. On one census, Beulah's mother is shown as Frances -- last name difficult to read -- could be Rothimille, Rotramel, etc.
Any help on this family, particularly Virgil's and Frances's connection to the Tegelers is appreciated.
