I have info on ancestors of Fred D. Taedtey, who married Minner Samuelson. What I do NOT have, is info about their descendants. Thus, would gladly swap my data for yours. Do you have the capability to work with FTW or GED files?

BTW, I may even have a photo somewhere of Fred. If you're interested, I'll double check on that.

Am available by direct e-mail at <gstradtman@juno.com>.

My Tede/Taedtey relatives immigrated from Hesse-Darmstat to Lancaster County, PA, in about 1847. They worked at an iron mine, I believe at finance but possibly as common laborers. We have no one by the name of August on record. The name was mangled into "Teele" in transcriptions of the 1860 census, so it's easy to miss their presence in the West Hempfield Township listing in Lancaster County. They appear to have gone west with my Struve relatives in or after 1860. A summary of what I know about the people in this group follows:

Descendants of Heinrich Tede

1 Heinrich Tede b: 01 April 1822 in Hannover d: 17 January 1911 in Champaign, IL

.. +Louise Struve (my great grandmother's sister) b: 09 July 1836 in Hesse-Darmstat d: 18 March 1894 in Champaign, IL

......... 2 William Taedtey b: July 1873 in Champaign, IL d: 02 January 1950 in Sheperd, MI

............. +Myrtle Galbraith b: 30 July 1877 in Harrison Co., OH d: 01 March 1938 in Sheperd, MI

.................... 3 William Clarence Taedtey b: 03 August 1896 in Champaign, IL d: 22 October 1977 in Camrron, TX

........................ +Lavon A. ?

.................... 3 Mabel M. Taedtey b: May 1890 in Champaign, IL

.................... 3 Elsie L. Taedtey b: 1906 in Champaign, IL

.................... 3 Lloyd Donald Taedtey b: 12 September 1914 in Champaign, IL d: 25 October 1987 in Mason, MI

.................... 3 Mildred L. Taedtey b: 1917 in Sheperd, MI d: 02 May 1933 in Sheperd, MI

......... 2 Fred D. Taedtey d: 30 April 1942

............. +Minner Samuelson

.................... 3 Sadie Taedtey b: in Urbana, IL

......... 2 Emma Taedtey

............. +Dillen B. Fisher

.................... 3 Ralph Fisher b: 1898 d: 1983

........................ +Ruth Dillman

............................... 4 William D. Fisher

................................... +Beverly Louise Genung

........................................... 5 Gary Dillon Fisher

............................................... +Jane Van Schoyck

........................................... 5 Kenneth Wesley Fisher

........................................... 5 Harold Fisher

.................... 3 Guy Fisher

.................... 3 Eugene Fisher

.................... 3 Ray Fisher b: Abt. 1896 d: April 1957 in Champaign, IL

............................... 4 Charles Fisher

I know it's been a long time since you posted, but i just came across this information. Don't know if will help much because i'm related to the Fisher side of the family. My great grandmother was Emma Louisa Taedtey 1867-1937, who married Dillion Baldwin Fisher 1851-1907 in 1890.In Champaign County,Il. Emma was of German Immigrants. and they lived on a farm near Savoy,IL.My Grandmother was their second child, Elsie Luzena Fisher 1893-1956, married my Grandfather Percy Lewis Scott 1891-1960 and married September 20,1911. Champaign County Historical Society's shows Emma's Fathers name as Henry Taedtey, but thats all the information I have on them. I hope this has at least helped with some history of the family. Bill
