Teeds: Eng>Boston, Ma>Long Island, NY>NJ
I have a world of information on the Teed line that came over from England in 1637 to Boston, Mass. My information takes them from Boston, to Salem, to Huntington/Babylon in Long Island, NY and finally to New Jersey. Feel free to holler, or look at the information online at: http://members.xoom.com/hdegeorge/surnames.html

HOWEVER.....I don't seem to be able to access your site.. I go in circles.. Oh my could you help. me find your info...Thanks so much Joyce

I apologize, but I do not know what site you refer to in your post. I have no web site but I did earlier post a site operated by a Robert Teed in England.
I do have some information on my line of the Teed family. It is on paper and not in my computer, therefore, it would be difficult to post the entire line.
Can you let me know exactly what you want from me and I'll be as helpful as I can?
I look forward to your response.

Teed of the Revolutionary War
Thank you for your prompt response. checking the dates..it seems i was referred to an old site... My interest is in Teeds who were living atCourtland Manor, New York Province prior to the Revolutionary War....As persecution mounted for their loyalty to the British Monarchy, they went to Westchester County New York, which in 1777 was behind the British Lines. Daneil Teed Sr. died in 1780. son David born 1767.went to Nova Scotia at the conclusion of the war as did
David Teed born 1760 who married Eleanor Wynn who had a family of ? of which four sons Isaac, John, Donald and Daniel (David) were among those evacuated from New York in 1783 and settled on granted land in NScotia.
Moses Teed born 1762 married Ann ?.....was living in Boston at the time of the Tea Party..
Mary Teed born 1764 married Ezekiel Peers (son of Alexander and Mary (Bolding) Peers. I have complete records of all of there decendants to present day (in Canada)Peers, Boldings Crawfords Hortons were othere names connected during that time, either by relationship or proximity.
Elizabeth Teed another child , married in Canada and records are here
Charles Teed scanty info.
My info says origianlly the Teeds were from the north of Ireland settle d at Delawar New York eventually and later moved to Rhode Island.
Teed brothers were David Isaac Daniel John James and Charles (Charles was taken prisoner by the 'rebels' and not located for some years .
This is probably more that you care to hear but establishes the family pre revolution..
some of my info says they were in Salem also and Huntington/Babylon in Long Island and then to New Jersy..
My task and search is to find parentages for these pre revolutionary 'children' roots in New England and in the old country.
.. and of much interest..is to find the decendants of the part of the family that fought on the american side and stayed in the U>S>
The political opinions of the day, and differing loyalities divided many families in 1776. My hope is to tie my 'few' colonial Teeds into the Teeds that produced the decendants of the American side of that war. celebrated this weekend!
Of interest might be.. the differeing views of the war...depending upon the county of the writers! the Canadians refer of course to the Rebels! and the war of Independence or the Revolt..in terms of the wayward child of Briton.....The Americans use the same words with defiance and conviction.. . and the British refer to it in all the doucuments of the day, as the Great Disentions in the Americas!..
Sometimes in reading old documents, and history texts of the 3 countries...it sounds like three different wars!
Hopefully this blurb will help us to connect our information and make for interesting sharing in this great Genelogical Puzzle
Thank you for your patience and time Joyce

The date of birth for your gt.grandfather is about the right time frame for the Robert Wilmont Teed who was my grandfather. My ancetor had a first marriage probably in Boston, then moved to Pittsburgh, PA and married my Grandmother in 1919. Two daughters by that marriage. Divorced my Grandmother and disappeared from Pittsburgh around 1935. He tried to start a motion picture company by the name of TRINITY. I have his parents listed as Franklin Teed and Florence MacDonald. Any part of this listed in your tree?
