Re: Teeds: Eng>Boston, Ma>Long Island, NY>NJ
Where in NJ did they go. I am related to a Charles Tidd who was born about 1773 in NJ and is first found in 1796 in Sussex (now Warren ) County, NJ. I have seen a John, Jacob and William in Hunterdon County. I havent had luck with tiss so I am now trying other spellings.

Re: Teeds: Eng>Boston, Ma>Long Island, NY>NJ
Tidd & Teed are not usually related. The Teeds came to Livingston, Essex Co., NJ. There was another group of Teeds and yet another group of Tidds that came through upstate NY rather than Long Island. I didn't track them, but I came across them in looking for my interests. There are large numbers of researchers looking into these and the subject of Tidd/Teed connections and non-connections are under great debate. To date, I have not seen compelling evidence of widespread use of Tidd & Teed as the same surname.

Do you have a Rachel F Teed born abt 1800 in Essex County and married to John D Sprigg? I have no parentage on her. I have the Sprigg side.

Thanks for the help. She was born about 1800, so she would not have been this families.
I will keep looking.

Re: Here's info. on Robert Wilmont Teed
Nicole, My name is Eric and I am Sharon's son. The two of you corresponded some 14 years ago. I have taken up the hunt for the elusive Robert Wilmont (any chance that his name was Wilmont Robert?) Teed.
Since you and my mother last corresponded have you been able to find any more information on our mystery man?
V/R, Eric Ritter
