My GGGrandfather was Thomas James Tee c1841 in Camberwell. My GGrandfather was Rueben Tee C1864 in Southwark. I thought it was possible that my GGGGrandfather was the Thomas Tee born in Northamptonshire and moved to Camberwell but reading your message that doesn't seem possible. Please contact me to confer on sheilapeter@aol.com.

Hi Sheila,
I emailed you as suggested by each was returned. I cant see a family connection but am wondering if you have Thomas James' parents names and birthplaces? We may find a connection through that generation. Please contact me directly via garwem@yahoo.com.

Hi Sheila
I have noticed your post on ancestry. My GGrandfather is also Reuben Tee. Reuben was married to Sarah Nunas DeOliviera and my Grandfather was Ernest Reuben Tee. I would be interested in comparing information with you. Our GGGGrandfather (Thomas James' father was a William Tee who was born around 1798 in Alvestoke, Hampshire. He married a Dinah Earwicker in 1817. Which one of GGrandad's Reuben children is your parent? What knowledge of the family history do you have. I see you have GGrandmother Alice as being from Spain so obviously you have been given the same info through your branch of the family. However this doesn't appear to be true, and she was born in London. Her mother was called Emma Budgen, and after the death of Alice's father married a man called Edward Howes in 1864. If you have any other info about the family it would be great to hear about it. I am going to also email you at the address you left on ancestry in case you no longer use genes. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future. Regards Sally

Hi Sally

I am so glad to hear from someone belonging to the Tee family after so long. If your grandfather was Earnest Tee he must have been brother to my grandmother Essie Tee daughter of Reuben & Alice De Oliveria. Alice was Spanish not sure where she was born. I have been trying to find out for years. The first census that I found (can't remember the year, it was the only one on Ancestry at that time) her birth place was listed as Portugal I have this record and will send you a copy. I have just recently found a Emma Budgen who married Joseph De Oliveria. Joseph was deceased when a daughter Sarah Alice was born in 1864. If this is the same person her wedding cert states her father Joseph is a minor and was still alive. Reuben and Alice were married in 1886 she was 21 which gives her birth as 1865 I have both certs will send you a copy. I still have 2 of my mum's sisters living I am sure they would remember Earnest. My email address is sheila.king317@btinternet.com. look forward to hearing from you. Sheila
