Do you have an information on George's wife, Mary Powers?

Richard, Jr's daughter, Elizabeth was my 3G-grandmother.

Glad to share info!

Jack

What do you know about Nathaniel's wife, Agnes. Info that I have indicates that she was married previously to a James M. Gunn.

Thanks - Jack

I am a descendant of Richard Teagle b. 11 Jan 1732/33 Gloucester Co., VA d. c1817 Fauquier Co., VA and Elizabeth Ogden. My line descends through their son, Nathaniel Teagle and migrated from VA to SC to MS and LA, eventually settling in Winn Parish. I have Richard, Jr. b. c1773 in Fauquier Co., VA and d. after 1834 in Union Co., SC m. Kitty Peacock. The only two children I have for this couple are Issac Teagle b. btw. 1800-1810 and Catherine Peacock Fidella Teagle b. 26 Aug 1811. I have seen the St. Helena/E.Baton Rouge Parish Teacles and the Red River Parish Tekells and have been courious if these families were actually "Teagles". I have quite a lot of data on the Teagles going back to the original Nathaniell and wives Elizabeth Todd and Agnes (??) and will be happy to exchange information with anyone interested.

I just uploaded my info on the Treacles, Tickles, Teekels, etc to Ancestry in the name Louisiana Teekel's. We are distantly related but the ones in No. Louisiana would have more info for you I think. My mom spent years researching this and I think it is safe to assume that it is correct. Eunice

I hope that, by some rare chance, you will still be at this address! I am a descendant of Richard Teagle and wf. Elizabeth Ogden, through their daughter Elizabeth who married A man named ANET UNDERWOOD. ( his name is spelled several ways: Anet, Annet, Anit, etc.
. Another daughter of Richard Teagle and Elizabeth was named Susanna, prob. After Richard's mother or grandmother, who I believe was named Susanna March. The dau Susanna married John Underwood in Fauquier County, VA, the same location where Anet Ubserwood &Elizabeth were married.
. Both couples were in Union Co., Sc by the time of the 1790. Are John and Anet related? Could they be brothers?
I have just a bit of info on the Teagles, and would love to share info with you. You can email me at dmp.beach@gmail.com. Many thanks! D. Pringle.

I am descended from the TEAGLES and OGDEN through their daughter Elizabeth who married Anet UNDERWOOD. Elizabeth5's sister Susannah md. John UNDERWOOD (relationship to Anet not defined or proven). Both couples married in Fauquier Co., VA, but had moved to Union Co., SC BY 1790 where all were enumerated in the census. John Underwood died abt 1808, and Susannah died bef 1820. Between 1820 and 1830, Anet &Elizabeth moved west to Pickens Co., SC, where they lived the remainder of their lives. These families seemed to always be affiliated with the SHERIFF FAMILY. Two of Anet's daughters, Matilda and Sina, married George Washington "Wash" & Nathan Sheriff, sons of George Thomas Sheriff. I am a GGG-G'daughter of Matilda & Wash. Matilda died shortly after the birth of her 4th child, and Wash md. Elizabeth Leach. He is bur. beside her at Zion Methodist Church, but where is Matilda's grave? Is it unmarked at Zion to unmarked in an old SHERIFF family cemetery? Does anyone have any information on Anet's children or Matilda's children? I have quite a bit of information on all these families. Happy to share and would love to find more specifics on these folks! Thanks! D. Pringle, ftrandalludc@gmail.com
