Talofa Ta'amu,
Thanks for responding to this inquiry. The Te'o in Tutuila, Pago Pago, is Ma'a Te'o, who holds this title. Can you tell me how the Te'o in Falealili, is related to the Te'o in Tutuila? Thanks for posting, and hope to hear back from you soon! Fa'afetai tele lava.

Wasn't uncle Ma'a just here in Washington visiting this past April? Just one of the many Te'o grandchildren from Pago, but I'm confused which Te'o is which. I hear the name Te'o comes from Falealili, but are we all family? Sorry for the dumb questions but mom and dad don't take interest in answering them when I ask.

Hi Annonymous,
Thanks for posting on the Te'o Board. I am still trying to figure out the difrrence between the Te'o from Falealili and the Te'o from Tutuila.
Who are your parents? According to your post , if your Uncle is Ma'a, then your Grandfather is my Uncle Uiva T. Te'o, who is Ma'a's Father. If you are from another line, please advise. I have my father's genealogy on how Mauga and our Te'o line is related.
FYI, My late Father is - Falepopo Taulago Te'o, son of Taulago Mauga Te'o, etc., etc. Like i mentioned before, i am stil trying to connect the 2 Te'o lines, and the older generation for some reason, don't care to elaborate. For now, i continue to research, so thanks again for posting, and hope to hear back from you Cousin???

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING, MY GRANDFATHER IS MUTIA TAULAGO TE'O, FALEPOPO IS A FAMILY NAME, AND GRANDPA DIED IN JANUARY OF 2001. YES I ASKED MOM A WHILE AGO ABOUT UIVA TE'O, AND SURE ENOUGH, IT IS A RELATIVE. WOULDN'T IT BE CONFUSING IF THERE WAS A FAMILY REUNION? NO ONE STAYS IN TOUCH. I'M CURIOUS BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW MUCH FROM GRANDPA'S SIDE OF THE FAMILY....AND THAT'S WHAT I'M HOPING TO RESEARCH. THANKS PERRY!

Thank you for responding as well. If you like, you can contact me on my personal email @ mauga23@sbcglobal.net, and i will give you more info on our side of the Te'o clan as well as our Te'o site on My Family.com. Regarding your Grandpa Mutia, he is the brother to Taulago, My Grandpa, and also Te'o Falepopo, who was named the Te'o, back in the day, they were all brothers. My Father is named after his Uncle Falepopo. There is a story about how this happened, and i can explain that to you another time if your interested. As for the Te'o's staying in contact, you are 100% correct. It's tough to get and stay in contact even w/ the Te'o families nearby. That would be great to get a Family Reunion started, but it needs to start from 1 person in our families. Anyways, hope your research into this family goes well, feel free to contact me anytime on my personal email addy if you like. Til next time Cuz, you Take Care and send Alofa's to your family on that side. Peace Out!

Lauren, I stumbled upon this post while looking for a phone number of a cousin. In any event, we have not met but your mom is my first cousin and I was one of the groomsmen at your parents wedding. Have not seen your mom in many years. If you get this, please tell her I said hello.
