Hello, I'm James Tazzyman, son of John and Sarah Tazzyman. My Granparents are Joyce and Irvine Tazzyman. I'm 24 work for Westlands in Yeovil, I play guitar in a band and am keen on sports.
I just wonder if there are any other Tazzyman's out there who may be of distant relation.

Hi there

I am Caroline Tazzyman. I'm 29 and my parents are Cherry and Roy Tazzyman - my grandparents are Joyce (who died last year) and William Tazzyman. I wonder if you have been in touch with one of my sister's too - Joanne Tazzyman - she is 31...

I live in London....

Hope to hear from you,
Caroline

Do you or your kin hail from Stocksbridge. If so we have a connection.

I was a Tazzyman and had a cousin Irvine

Please contact me.

Hello James - I am sure I am a cousin of your grandad Irvine. My father was Horace, son of William Charles Tazzyman of Outibridge, who was the eldest son of Charles Warriner Tazzyman. It is good to be in contact with some of the living Tazzyman's. Some of my father's brothers were James, Albert, and Charles and there were sisters, Annie, Martha (known as Maggie) and Sarah (known as Sally) I think that one of my fathers brothers was Irvine's father but I will certainly look up in my records, which one.

Hello Jonathan,
Can you give me some information on your parents and/or grandparents, and perhaps a little about yourself. I am trying to get as much information on our family tree as possible to leave for my grandchildren and if you fit into one of our many branches I would surely like to have you there.

Hi Mary thanks for your reply. In future could you e-mail me direct at jt@raymarklondon.com thanks.
Right this is all from memory. My father Allan Tazzyman came from Stocksbridge near sheffield his mother ( my grandmother)was Mary (Maggie) Tazzyman she died about 5/6 years ago and i think was buried in Cleethorpes (Where she lived). His father was Harry Tazzyman though he died when my father was very young. There seems to be some sort of family 'history' as I understand they had to leave the Sheffield area rather quickly but nobody will ever talk about it!!! My father also had a brother (Ian Tazzyman) I remember him though I believe he was adopted as a child and inherited the name.I have a brother David and a sister Angela, we all live in the Newark Nottinghamshire area, I also have two children Matthew (8) and Sophie (12) so at least Matthew will carry on the family name.If I can help any more please let me know.

Dear Mary
I have just spent the past four hours going through some of the info. on internet to try and get a picture of my husband's family (Roy) and to try and write it down. I see that you have already done much, or all, of the research! My husband's daughters Jo and Caroline have already left some messages on here and I understand you visited Bill, his father in Stocksbridge. We have a one year old son, James, and it would be wonderful to provide him with the family history attached to his name. I got very confused looking at the 9001 Census as it shows Charles and Sarah Tazzyman aged 60 and 54 having a 7 year old daughter and 4 year old son - surely not! It would be wonderful to make contact with you as I would love to find out more......... Best regards

Hello Linda. In my Tazzyman tree I have Charles and Sarah still producing children up to 1897. They were still producing at the same time as their own children. They had about 16 children in all and 9 of those did not survive infancy. The 3 year old on the census died later in 1901. I know my father, born in 1891 had an uncle born the same year and an aunt born in 1894.

The tree is still ongoing as people keep contacting me with their children and so the branches are getting bigger.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. This answers a lot of strange stories that I heard, eg that Charles had lots of children and many of them born in India but several died (I can see that Alfred was born in India). My husband's grandfather, Albert, will be your grandfather's, Horace, brother. It is strange how history repeats itself a little. My husband also has a son younger than his grandson. His children range in age from 30s down to one!

I wonder if I could have a copy of your research as it will take me a long time to draw all of the infomation together and I am sure you have done a lot to get so far? I am willing to pay for a copy of what you have. If you would like to e-mail me direct we are on Roylindatazzyman@aol.com.

Many thanks - facinating information and I am even more intrigued.

Linda
