I have recently started tracing my family tree and am currrently pursuing the TAZIKER line. My great grandfather was Andrew TAZIKER (b 1891, Bolton, Lancs) who married Beatrice PILLING (b 1889, Bolton, Lancs) at Christ's Church Cathedral, Hamilton, Canada in 1914 - they returned to England shortly afterwards and after having my grandmother, moved to Dinnington, Sheffield. From research, I think Andrew's father was Thomas TAZIKER (b 1863, Bolton) married to Ellen (b 1865, St Helens). Andrew had, I believe, four brothers - Leonard (b 1891), Thomas (b 1893), Richard (b 1894) and John (b 1901, believed to have emigrated to Hamilton, Canada). I think Thomas's parents were Andrew TAZIKER (b 1842) and Clara GREENHALGH (b 1844).
I would welcome hearing from you if you believe these details match in with your trees - we have little primary information to work from and as a result I am having to piece together the jigsaw.
Kind regards
Glenn Bowdin

Re: Taziker, Bolton, 1800s
My grandmother was Taziker. She was born in Leigh in 1875. Her father was Isaac, born in Bolton in 1840 and his father Thomas. Thomas was born a lot earlier than the one you are looking for - about 1800, but there may be some connection. If you are interested let me know and I can send you more information.

Re: Taziker, Bolton, 1800s
Hi, I don't know if this will help but my grandmother was Italian and her family came to live in the Greater Manchester area. She was called Hilda Taziker and had, I believe, four brothers and a sister. Hilda married Albert Coucill and they lived in Walkden, Lancashire until they died in their 80's. They had two children, Frank (my dad) and Lucey. I only found out this week from my mum that Hilda had siblings and that they lived in Greater Manchester. Hilda's parents made and sold ice cream.

I have a Leonard Taziker in the line I am researching - was your Leonard possibly married to a female with last name of Crothers?
