Henry Taylor, Esquire, of Strabane Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, raised a family of ten children, most of whom remained in the area. His children were Matthew, Joseph, John, Henry, James, George W., Jane, Mary, Eliza, and Ann. Henry died in 1801. Third son John Taylor married Mary Ann Mosser about 1803 and settled on the Mosser tract in Tuscarawas County, Ohio. After John's death in 1842, sons Abraham and Joseph settled their families in Auglaize County, Ohio. Joseph owned a general store in Uniopolis for many years. Abraham and wife Lydia Stamm spent their last years in Monroe Township, Allen County, Ohio.
