Montgomery, Ala., May 25 - A special in the Advertiser says that Jesse Matson, a negro, the alleged slayer of Deputy Sheriff Scott Taylor at the Acton mines this morning, was captured tonight near the Jemison mine.
He was caught by a posse headed by Sheriff J. M. Norris of Shelby county, and is being taken to the county jail at Columbiana tonight. It is said that a request will be made for a special term of court for this case. The popularity of Taylor was great and feeling runs high among his friends.
