William J. Tatar, age 66, a resident of Highpoint Towers, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010. Born in Erie on March 25, 1943, he was the son of the late Alfred J. and Mary Grande Tatar. Bill served with the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War , and was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. He did masonry work for Dominic DeMarco Construction and also was employed in maintenance at Saint Vincent Health Center. Bill enjoyed computers and was a ham radio operator. Survivors include his aunts and uncles, John and Rose DeMarco, Joe Grande, and Doris Grande, all of Erie, and his cousins Dale and Dave DeMarco, Glen, Joseph, Jim and William Grande, Kathleen Sivillo, Mary Lou Huffman, Jeanie Hoover, Donna, Kristen, Andre and Richard A. Tatar. Friends are invited to call at the Brugger Home For Funerals, 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Boulevard, Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church, 816 West 26th St., at 11:30.
