Edgar Taschereau - Son of Iriquois woman?

Edgar Taschereau - Son of Iriquois woman?

Surnames: Taschereau, Guillemette, McKinnon
My g grandfather, Edgar Taschereau, married Alice Guillemette in early 1900's. It is believed they lived in Two Rivers, Canada (Quebec?) before moving to the State of Maine in the USA. We believe that Edgar's father was a French settler and Edgar's mother was a full-blooded Indian woman (probably Iriquois). Edgar and Alice had at least two children, Doris and Robert. Doris stayed in Maine and married into the McKinnon family. Any help, especially in regards to the Indian heritage would be appreciated. thanks.
