This is a search for all Tapajna's to reply to my e-mail address at BTapajna@core.com. There is not many Tapajna's out there - some in Indiana, Illinios, Cleveland, Ohio and Canada. Please respond. I am trying to link the families together.

I HAVE SEEN A PICTURE OF MY GRANDFATHER WITH HIS MOTHER IN CLEBNESA, THIS PICTURE IS NOW WITH FRANK MARTISOVIC (MERRILLEVILLE IN,)HAVE YOU HEARD FROM ANY OF MY COUSINS? CAN I HELP YOU WITH ANY INFO? Hi! My name is Cindy Weaver and my Uncle tells me that my grandmother, Zohie Matulak also had the name of Tapajna on her passport. She married my grandpa in Slovakia in the village of Biley Potok. my husband is a tapajna. his dad has information about the family posted on a website:

it has to do with bradlo, a canadian settlement of slovak settlers, and outlines what happened to some of the tapajna's.

Hello, here is another one from Slovakia! I come from northern Slovakia, where I think every Tapajna comes from.
I am 25 and I am Phd student at the Institute of foreign literature.
We are big family / 6 children/.
Hope to meet some Tapajna if I will be in USA.

Our mother is Pauline Tapajna Jerdonek. Her parents are both from Chlebnice, SK. Our grandfather was Thomas Tapajna, he was born on February 29, 1888 in Chlebnice. His parents were John Tapajna and Mary Mello. He had brothers Frank, John, and Joe in the U.S. and Andrew in Chlebnice. Our grandmother was born Teresa Bakoš on October 10, 1892 in Chlebnice. Her parents were Joseph Bakoš and Christine Tarastak.
We will be visiting Slovakia from May 27 through June 5 and will be in Chlebnice on or about May 30, 2005. We hope to meet some of our Bakoš and Tapajna relatives. You can contact us at rich@jerdonek.net

It took some time to reply (how about 5 years) as I finally got back to looking into this.

I am the Grandson of Frank Tapajna. My dad is Ray Tapajna. You said Frank was from Cincinnatti Ohio. Actually it is Cleveland, Ohio.

We are related. I too have pictures I could share. Onr of the four brothers: John, Frank, Tom and Andrew.
I would like to contact Frank Martisovic for the picture you spoke of - of your Grandfather and his mother.

My father (Ray) said that his cousins from his Uncle Tom resently visited Slovika and brought pictures of the birth places of the Tapajna brothers you and I are writing of. Do you know the Tom Tapajna clan?
