I am interested in your Joshua Tam born about 1811 in Delaware. Do you have any more info on him? My Joshua Tam born about 1812 in Delaware, died 1889 in Tenn. Was married twice, first to a Margaret, they lived in Indiana in 1860 were supposedly there in 1850 but can't find any census on them. By 1870 Joshua has married a woman named Hannah, they are still in Indiana, by 1880 they have moved to Hamblen Co. Tenn. I would like to find out who his parents are.
If you can help, please email me at Vaughan24@msn.com.
Thank you

The only "evidence" for a James Tam married to Ellen White is, so far as I know, the "Tam Family History" written by Fred Tam in 1960. Is any other source known?

But, Delaware Marriages 1645-1899 reports a Samuel Tam married Sarah Morrell on 26 Jan. 1754 in Sussex County Delaware. I believe they had two children, John and Joshua because of implied relations in some probate records. Also, Samual, John and Joshua are all over the records of the militia for the War of 1812 when the Britsih sailed right up the Chesapeake Bay.
