My g-grandfather Frank Tally was born 20 Mar 1862 in Pulaski County Missouri to James Calvin Tally and his 2nd wife Catherine Brewster. He was the 4th of 6 children. He died 11 Apr 1913 Alba, Jasper County, Missouri. His siblings were:
Thomas Jefferson b. 02 Nov 1852 Pulaski County MO d. 28 Jan 1931 Thayer, Oregon County, Missouri
Tina America b. 14 Nov 1855 Pulaski County d. 20 Nov 1939 Calera, Bryan County, Oklahoma
Hiram Culbertson b. Sep 1856 Pulaski County d. after the 1930 census but I don't know where possibly Oklahoma or even Missouri
Newton Jasper b. 12 Oct 1865 Crocker, Pulaski County d. 03 Aug 1945 Exeter, Barry County, Missouri
Mary M. b. 1869 Lee, Boone County, Arkansas d. this one is a mystery also.

We think that James Calvin might have been a son of Tarlton Talley but aren't sure, more research needs to be done there.

James Calvin had 3 sons from his 1st wife Catherine Davis Proctor. Their children were:
William R. b. 1845 Tenessee don't know when or where he died
John L. b. 1847 Tennessee d. 09 Jan 1862 Rolla, Pulaski County, Missouri. He died as a result of a wound in battle
Marion Madison b. 01 Sep 1848 Tennessee d. 21 Apr 1920 Pearsonia, Osage County, Oklahoma

Catherine Davis Proctor died sometime between 1848 and 1850. James Calvin and Catherine Brewster died after the 1880 census somewhere in Arkansas or possibly in Missouri. He filed a land record 31 Dec 1889 in Boone County Arkansas but was not listed in the 1900 census so we don't know where or when they died.

After all the research I've done on my family, I have deduced that we are probably not related to Marion Talley, the opera singer, so another family myth bites the dust.

Thank you for all your reaearch and information into that family. I really appreciate that more than you will know. And if anyone out there has any clues on my family I would truly be grateful for what information they are willing to share.
