James i am Evelyn (your grandfather -Robert and my dad Stephen were brothers. We originally were six siblings but have lost two sisters (Dorothy and Barbara) and our only brothr (Greg). Aside from myself, my sisters Phyllis and Maryann are still here on earth. thank goodness. we all live in NJ and have family of our own. The talalai family is quite large. Many of our children live in NJ also near the beach area in Manahawkin, NJ. I do have a daughter who lives in Florida and a son who lives in Bayonne, NJ. both are married. My daughter works for GE and her husband is general contractor. My son is a fireman and his wife a teacher. can u give me some info on your grandfathers' sisters and brothers - i think there were 8 in all including your grandfather. It gets confusing with such a large family.

Thanks for that Evelyn i was not aware that Stephen had a brother or that he (Robert) had any children. I have always believed rightly or wrongly that we had very strong and predominant Catholic roots, but have been curious about a possibility that that might not be the case. I hit a dead end with our family history after Stella and Stephen and havent been too successful at gaining information prior to the United States. I have vague recollections of your dad, and thier home, walking at a park, feeding squirrels near thier house.
Do you know anything about our family prior to the United States? Incidentally, I have two children a boy named Malachi and a girl named Lila Grace.

Robert Talalai (my grandfather) has three sons. James, John, and Jeff. James (my father) has one son (Greg, this is me), and two daughters (Brooke and Jena). John (goes by Jack) has one son (Trevor) and two daughters. Jeff has one son (Ryan) and one daughter (Rachael).
My name, coincidentally, is Gregory Talalai. To my knowledge, I was not named after the late Greg Talalai that many of you have spoken of. I am the oldest of my generation on this side of the family tree (~26 years).
I do not know all of my grandfather's siblings. I see some of them rarely, perhaps once a decade.

There is another Greg (Michael) Talalai in Bayonne New Jersey he is the son of Gregory Talalai (my father) from his second marriage making him my half brother, whom I have never met.
