My grandfather's name was Andrew Takach (later changed to Takash). His father's name was also Andrew. I have been looking for more info on that side of the family. My grandpa's sister Steph is still alive here in Pueblo, Colorado. I do know that the family did move here from Pennsylvania. My mom has never said much about her grandfather. I think he died before she was born. I will try to see if I can find out any other info. Feel free to visit my tree if you would like.

Hello there! my daughter is researching her husbands family and we have found a Michael Takach...here is all the information I have been able to verify about him (but we just started searching): Michael Takach was born about 1888 in Austria. He was married to a Barbra Havrilla. They had a son named Andrew in 1911, Daughter Mary in 1913, daughter Ann Marie in 1915, and a daughter named Bertha in 1918 (Bertha is my son-in-laws grandmother). Michael Takach died sometime before Oct 1939. He was buried in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. We do not know anything about his parents...and were wondering if he could be related to any of your relatives. Thanks! Penny & Gina

Hi, I'm researching my family in Pueblo, Colorado, and I was looking at the Pueblo boards, just wanted to suggest that you go to the Pueblo Public Library Online and do a Obituary Search, the library charges $3 to find and email the obituary. In MOST instances, it's been helpful to me!

Re: Any relatives to Takach from Czeckloslovakia
Hi!!! That is actually a side of the family we know very little about... The great-grandfather's name is Michael Takach (Takacs) and he came over in May of 1907 (according to his naturalization petition papers. Best as I can tell he came over with one other person with the same last name and was meeting family in PA. I know he was living in Pittsburgh, PA and was married in March of 1917 (when he petitioned for Naturalization).
I don't know anything else about his family. It would be fun though if it turns out the families are related.
Keep me posted if you think its a possibility....

Re: Any relatives to Takach from Czeckloslovakia
What were the names of his children? My mother and aunt were named Takach. Mom lived in Greensburg, PA. My aunt Ann lived in Latrobe, PA. My mother always said her mother and dad were from eastern Pennsylvania. Not much else said about them that I can remember. Thank you in advance for your help.
