Hi,
My great, great grandfather (James Flanagan) married twice - first to Eliza Lavan or Lawill and then to a Jane Callaghan. One daughter of the second marriage was Mary Ellen Flanagan who married Dominick Taheny of Sligo in 1914. Dominick's parent's were Hugh Taheny and Mary Doddy who married c1874 in Sligo. I am still in touch with some of that family in Sligo.
Do you think we might have a connection there?
Best wishes,
Bernard

I knew Dermot well, his mother had lived with my grandfather and my mum was very fond of him and we all called him uncle Dermot. It's one of his children I kep in touch with in Sligo.
If you have their details already then we may not have much worth exchanging but I.d be happy to post here what info I have so you can check. I'll do that when I next get time.

I am working on my Tahaney "Tahney" Family tree and am looking for information on my great grand parents.

Hugh/Hugo Tahney (or whatever spelling it might be) who was married to Catherine Carrigan/Karrigan. It think they were born in Slago. One of their sons is John Tahaney who was born in Slago Irelend and immigrated to Hartford County, Md. John married Mary (Meary) McGilligan.

Hello,
I am searching for a Patrick Taney, could be spelled different, who was born and died in Sligo, Ireland 1800s. He may have had a brother Bernard who came to America before 1870.
Does anyone have any family history.
Thanks, Eddie
