What line are you from? I can't seem to locate my line even with the little amount of informaiton I have. Here is what I have, does any of this sound remotely familiar.

Facts:
James Tegart(This is how it is spelled on naturalization papers) b- Ireland came to US via New York. (can't find on any log book) I have a copy of a copy of his naturalization papers which are very hard to read. It looks like he came to US in 1824 but not sure. He receided his citizenship in 12/1854 in Montogmery CO, AL. He has a son named John Tagart/Taggart.

John Taggart married Nellie War b-November 07, 1882 d-January 02, 1962 Houston, TX
Children:
Margaret
Becky
James Edward Taggart, SR.

James Edward Taggart, SR. b-November 08, 1895 d-June 17, 1969 Houston, TX married abt 1919 to
Frieda Ida Jenni b-August 10, 1895 Switzerland d-August 25, 1985 Houston, TX
Children:
Raymond Joseph Taggart, SR. (my grandfather)
James Edwards Taggart, JR.
Lawerence Theodore Taggart
Mary Louise Taggart
Thomas William Taggart
John Frederick Taggart, Sr.

Suspicions:

Not sure I can help you w/your info, but maybe you can help me. My name before I was adopted was Melissa Renee Taggert. My mother was Glenda, my father was James. If you get any replys, or info on a James Taggert born around 1951-54 please pass it on to me. I was born in Pasadena in 1972, that's about all I can tell thanks, good luck w/your search,

My grgrgr grandmother was Elizabeth Tagart/Tegart/Taggart b. in north eastern,Mo. about 1810 give or take a few years. She married James Morrow-they moved to south eastern Mo. and lived in Ozark and Taney counties-died in the 1880s there. Her father was murdered by one of his Native American wives in north eastern Mo. Does this info sound familiar to you? Have hit a brick wall with this line. I understand her Grandfather kept the Mc/Mac Taggart name when he came from Scotland-but his son left it off. Hope you can help. Ruth in California

My mother's maiden name was Justina Wall Taggart. He father was James Stevenson Taggart, mother Sylvania Penn (Higman) Taggart. I had always heard that there was Native American blood somewhere in our background, but I don't know where or how far back. James' parents were James and Jane (Stevenson) Taggart. They came from Londonderry, Ireland around 1850 - 1851. Any connection? Liz
