Hello,

my name is Philip Taddey and I come from Germany. I'm very interested in the history of my family - where they originally come from.
The only thing I know is that my ancestors came from Germany, until the 18th. I don´t know where they had come from earlier.

I've also read before, that "Taddey" could come from Scotland. Maybe the name was changed in English. Would also like to learn more about the name Tadajewski.
Would be glad about an answer. My E-Mail is taddey@gmx.de.

Hello Lindsey
Maybe it means nothing but in my archive I have got death's record from the village Waschulken, kreis Neidenburg, Prussia (now Nidzica Poland)from 20.11.1902. Parents: Carl Taday and Auguste Dongowski (!!!) reported death of their son Friedrich Carl Taday. Parents of Carl were Adam Taday (born 1831) and Julie Bolinski.
Names Huelich or Heueliche are not from Prussia. The rest 3 surnames seems to be Polish origin.
