wife of Anthony Tadaj(ewski)
I am looking for information on the wife of Anthony Tadajewski, aka Anthony Taday. He passed through Ellis Island in 1897 as a single man, married a woman named Honorata sometime between then and 1920.
Any information on any other Tadaj is also welcome.

Mandy
I am also researching the names Taday and Tadaj in the Cleveland area. My great-granfather (Anton Tadajewski) had his name shortened to TADAJ. Somewhere along the lines, the "J" became a "Y".
My family arrived in the Cleveland area in the early 1900's. Found him in the 1910 and 1920 census but Anton and his wife, Honoratta passed away prior to the 1930. In the 1920 census, I found a Steven and Stella TADAJ who lived in the same neighborhood as Anton and Honoratta and I have been trying to find some connection between the two men. Steven and Stella had a number of daughters, the youngest being another Stella. I do not have my info with me at the moment but I believe their other daughters names were Jenna, Antonia. There were 2 others whose names escape me.
If you want me to provide anymore information on this Stella, I will be happy to send you anything I have.

Re: wife of Anthony Tadaj(ewski)
I know what you mean. My great grandparents Anton and Henrietta died in the mid 1920's and I can not locate any of their children in the 1930's census. Only 1 passed away before that.
What is odd is that my Grandfather's (Alexander) brothers sent him to live with some relations in West Virginia but know one knows who ever lived there. I have never been able to find any "Taday/Tadaj" in that state.
