Jeff, thanks for your reply to my message on here regarding Thomas E. Tackett and Martha Perdue.

My message was addressed to Scott Roten. He had sent me some info a long time ago that listed Martha Perdue's first husband's name as Farmer, if I remember correctly. Scott moved and I have not been in touch since. The application for a marriage license for Thomas E. Tackett and Martha Perdue lists Martha as being Widow and her married name as "Turner or(Tanner)". I saw a copy of the original application online and the writing looks like "Turner". Scott is gr-grandson of Ellender Tackett, oldest of Martha's daughters, who was born in NC in 1868, before the Tackett group migrated to Tazewell Co., VA and Mercer Co., WV.
