Elisa- It is true My Great grandfather was 1 of four Brothers that came from Milan. His name Guiseppi. The men split up and worked to save money to bring the rest of their family over. At a Tacconelli Wedding I met my great auntie Nina who was one of the first kids brought over, she remembers coming over on the boat w/ her sister. I sat and sipped wine w/ her all night as she unraveled the story of how our family made it here to America.I check my mail ev/day We'll certainly keep in touch "cuz"

Yours Truly, Peter

Dear Peter, I wish I knew more about my ancestry. My grandfather Alessandro died well before I was born. My father died 3 years ago. I don't stay in close contact with my Tacconelli aunts & uncles, they weren't very loving. (not like good italians) All I know is my grandfather was from Abruzzi. I'm always looking for more info, but have been unsuccessful. Maybe all of us Tacconelli's could meet some time & try to piece it all together. I'll definitely be in touch, Elisa

I have visited Chieti in Abruzzo and found my Tacconelli cousilns. My family is from Philadelphia and my cousin Vince Tacconelli owns a favorite pizza spot in the City. My grandfather, Giovanni Tacconelli emigrated from Chieti in 1902.

Ciao! Marion
