I am looking for family of JOHN TABAKA who was married to CATHERINE KUDUK. John may have been formerly married to ANTONIA FICZ. JOHN's (known) children were: JACOB, WALENTY, ADAM, ANTON LEON, TEKLA (Tillie). All the children came to America around 1898-1902. ADAM listed SOKOLOW as his place of residence on his naturalization papers.

Also, family of JOHN WIELGOSZ who was married to KATHERINE RZESUTEK. They had one known daughter ANNA WIELGOSZ who married ADAM TABAKA in America.

I have a wedding picture of my Aunt Mary RZESZUTEK and my Uncle Joesph PROCNAL getting married in abt 1913. Another relative said one of the little girls was a Katherine. She may have been a RZESUTEK, maybe you would be able to recognize her in the picture.

Thank you Susan, but I never met any of my great-grandparents or their siblings. I have no idea what Katarzyna Rzeszutek may have looked like. I don't think she ever came to America. Also, my babcia (her daughter) was born in 1882, so Katarzyna would've been born around 1850 or so.
Thank you for your reply!

We may be able to help each other in the search. My Grandmother was Mary Magdalena Borek, nee Wielgosz, daughter of Adalbert Wielgosz and Catharine Zak of Turza, a village next to Sokolow Maolopolska. As a youth my cousins and I remember earing about and occasionally meeting a woman whom we called "Chotka Tabaka". A couple of us have been trying to figure out the connection. My great aunt Caroline, Mary's sister was married to a Kuduk. In the that older age-grade, there was an Anna Wielgosz who married Aloysius Luszczki of Sokolow, and whose son became a Franciscan priest who visited us here in MYC area after serving many years in Argentina. Thanks for your poswting and let's compare notes.
