I'm looking for Sophia maiden Szczepanek, but I don't know too much about her ;-(((
My family comes from village WILCZYSKA near TARNOW & NOWY SACZ in MALOPOLSKA ( south of Poland )

This is a short genealogical tree.
My grand-grand parents:
Franciszek Szczepanek & Anna Szczepanek ( maiden Duch )
Jan Snopek & Anna Snopek ( maiden Krol )

My grand-parents:
Jozef ( Joseph ) Szczepanek ( 1887 - 1972 ) & Maria Szczepanek ( maiden Snopek ) ( 1893 - 1949 ).

I know that my grandpa Joseph had some sisters & brothers.
I know about these persons:
sister Julia WOJNA , she lived in Krynica & she died about 10-15 years ago, I don't remeber exact
sister Bronislawa PIECHOWICZ-RADWANSKA ( twice married ), she was from Cracow
brother Stanislaw - I don't know anything of him
sister Zofia ( Spohia, Sophie ) - THIS is a person who I'm looking for.

I know only that Sophia went to United States at the end of 19th or beginnng of 20th century.
When 1st World War had begun, my grandpa Joseph escaped to her to United States, because he was afraid of being taken to Austrian Army in Galicia in Poland.
In United States he used to work as a shoe-maker.
He returned to Poland about 1920, he had married & lived in Wilczyska till his death in 1972.

About this Sophia I know only that she felt insulted via my grandpa, because he left Unites States without farewell her, but he lived in other state & it was impossible for him to do it.
Sophia had sent also ship-tickets to United States for her sisters: Bronislawa & Julia, but they didn't decide to go to the United States.

After that Sophia broke all contacts with our family in Poland - as I know from my aunties there was no message from her since 1930's.
I even don't know her name after husband.
Telling the truth I know nothing. She must have been born about 1880-1885, probably in Wilczyska.

If You can help me in any way, I'll be very greatefull.

Best regards,
Christine ( Gliwice, Poland )
