It is my understanding that the surname Sycks came from the surname SIX and is originally from Germany. I am a descendant of David Sycks (Six) and Ruth Gapen's daughter Hannah Sycks who married James Adams.

There is a place called Sycks Ridge in Ohio, and Sycks cemetery in the same location. It was the old homestead of David Sycks and his father Henry.
