New to genealogy (and computers). Need all available help and advice on who, what, where
and when. GGGGrandfather JOHN DAVID SIBERT(?)is believed to have been a Hessian mercinary. After RevWar he settled
in Georgia and later he and/or his offsprings moved to northern Alabama(Morgan County.) Have documentation on Frederick Sybert (my GGgrandfather) but the ancestor's history seems to have stopped in Georgia or South Carolina. e-mail address: bsybert@CS.com. Thanks in advance.

I am sorry but I do not have anything on the captioned person although I am dead sure he is a branch on my tree. My G-G-GF, Frederick had sons Solomon (my G-GF), Robert J. (born about 1830 which would make him a prime candidate of having a son of marrying age in 1873), and George. Sparkman is in my mother's line, but am just beginning to work on this side. You might get help in any biography of Senator John Sparkman. As a can-
didate for Veep on the Dem. ticket with Adlai Stevenson in 1952, he probably has enough prominence to rate a few lines of genealogy somewhere.
Sorry, I can't help you, but if you will send me your email address, if anything turns up I will get in contact with you.
Success in your search.

While I do not have the information you are asking for, I may be able to direct you to someone who can help. Morgan County Family Historical Society has what they call
"lookups". These are people to have all the books at their disposal and volunteer their services. They look up only one query per e-mail and the question must be specific. Don't ask for "All the information you have on...." One contact is Pam Harbison,
bobbi@dzn.com She will probably turn out to be your relative. She is from the Vest line, which as my Uncle Bill related to you in one of your replies, is related to Sparkman. Happy Hunting.

I am sorry but I do have the information that you wanted. Your James Frederick Sybert was the son of Henry R. Sybert, who was the son of Frederick E "Fed" and Rebecca Wade. Fed was the son of Rev. John David Sybert and Muhuldah Wilmore (from Virginia). He was the first of our line to come to the colonies. Sorry for the bad info before. The spelling of the name changed 3 times in a 20 year span, I looked under the wrong spelling the first time around. Sorry 'bout that!!

Classification: Query
Surnames: Sybert, Vest, Sandlin, Key, White
Last year you inquired about the parents of James Frederick Sybert. It has taken a long time, but I finally have that information. Henry Sybert married Lavina Trawick in Yalobusha County, Miss. on July 13, 1847. They had one child, James Frederick. Henry's brother John W. married Paralee Trawick in Yalobusha County, Miss, on April 08, 1847. They had one daughter, Arphelia.. Henry, John W. and Lavina all died in Miss. prior to the 1860 census. Paralee Sybert married twice after John W's death. I have not found any info about Arphelia. We know both children to be alive at the time of Federick Sybert's (their grandfather) death. Both children are listed as heirs, without guardians, in his will.
