Wilma Jean Stout, age 72 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 16, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Clinton Memory Gardens Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. Family will receive friends Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Vansant-Mills Chapel Clinton, Missouri. Family suggests memorial contributions to Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri and they may be left in care of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton. Fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.
Wilma Jean was the daughter of Guy Martin and Hazel Irene (Edmonds) Sweeton. She was married to William Blake Stout. She was a school teacher for many years, retiring from the Rich Hill School District. Jean was a member of the D.A.R.; the Missouri Retired Teachers Association; M.S.T.A. and a member of the Christian Church, Clinton, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Hazel (Edmonds) Sweeton and her mother and father-in-law, Mary Beth and W.B. Stout, Jr.
Jean is survived by her husband, William Blake "Bill" Stout of the home; one son Martin Harwell and wife, Darla of Blue Springs, Missouri; one daughter, Kim Scorza and husband, Darin of Raymore, Missouri; one cousin, Rose Marie Ross of Ogden, Utah; six grandchildren, Matthew Harwell and wife, Lisa, Alex Powers and wife Ivette, Andrew Harwell and Haley Scorza; as well as two great grandchildren, Savannah Powers and Ashlyn Powers.
Arrangements entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton.
