Hello Ellen
I am thrilled to hear from you, I have a James Windrow Sweetman and Emily Walley with a son named James Windrow born 1891, but this is not confirmed, as this is not my direct Sweetman line, Your James WIndrow born in 1863 is the brother of my Great Grandfather William Frederick Sweetman born in 1871, William was a twin, George born after William, died at about 2-3 years old of Measles.

Do you have any other info on your James? I had read somewhere that a James Windrow Sweetman was a professor of Islamics, and his works are in the University of Birmingham, I believe this could be your Father? or Grandfather? If not there must be another James Windrow Sweetman born to another branch. Can you confirm that your first James's mother's name was Elizabeth? Who died shortly after the birth of my Gt Grandfather and his twin. I can go into more detail if I can be sure we are talking about the same one.

James Windrow Snr. Married a Margaret Woods shortly after the death of Elizabeth. Then went on to have three more children.... but I will wait your email to confirm that we are indeed related.... this is such a great day if we are, as I have been trying to find a connection somewhere....

Regards,

Susan Button,
(Gt.Gt. Granddaughter of James Windrow Sweetman....)
