Charles William "Bill" Swearingen, age 64, passed away suddenly at home on February 1, 2015. He was born in East Liverpool, OH on February 26, 1950, to the late Charles and Gladys Swearingen. Bill was honored to be a US Navy Veteran. In addition, he was member of Lyndhurst Masonic Lodge #508 F&AM and Windermere Chapter #388 OES. Bill was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He was an avid golfer and bowler but his world really revolved around his grandsons and their sports. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by many.
Bill is survived by his loving wife and best friend, of 44 years, Vicki (nee Coiner). He was the proud father of Kimberly "MeMe'; proud father-in-law of Missy; proud PaPa of Tyler, Curtis, and Brandon; and brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his son, Charles "Teddy" Swearingen.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 3 p.m,. at Shoregate UMC, 30500 Bayridge Blvd., Willowick, OH 44095. Monreal Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.
