Your Caroline appears to have been born in India - the East Indies as her census return says.
Her father - I think I recall John SWABY? was previously a railway worker (1861 census) who immediately prior to the family relocation to India had his other children baptised - the register for these shows that his occupation was Inspector of Plate Laying or something like that. I did look at this some time ago for someone else and cannot recall all the details.
I also had a look on the British India Office records - can find no baptism record of Caroline.
Her husband was a PEAT - and it is PEAT not PEART as was the original name on this thread from the West Indies.
If I can help any more then please say so and I'll dig out my notes.
Regards

Hi Jan, just realised by reading your links, that you are Janet Harrison. I tried to contact you a few times around xmas time, to tell you I had sold my bungalow and was about to move, my e-mail address had been hacked by someone in USA and I was unable to access any of my e-mails from you . Sorry to say I have now moved from North Yorkshire and am living in Clacton-On-Sea. so will be unable to meet up with you as we had wanted, but hope to be able to keep in touch with you.
Jan
