I am not the "oneilsp" user who started this thread - though I do wish that they would read these comments in order to correct their assumptions.
I know that you have the correct age for JJS - my comments were for the wider audience who may read this - those that continue to repeat the errors on their trees -these are the ones that have JJS senior born 1755 and died 1821.
JJS senior must have been some age when he died in or about 1812 - I would have thought he was born about 1735 (similar to Ruth BURTON) though I can find no mention of his demise in the press of the time.
I assume that your Thomas is the one mentioned in the 1812 will - brother of Joseph?
