Sounds like we have much the same info.
On the subject of newspapers - I use findmypast - where I have an annual subscription. I find that their resources are complementary to ancestry. I note that they do have a monthly option now.
It can be very useful e.g. George SWABY 1800-1859 was run over by a bus in London with extensive details of that accident and the inquest. The coverage of the burial of his son George list the mourners and their relationships. The families of Ann Margaret Eleanor SWABY and those of the PEARTS are fairly well covered in the press. Where I consider them significant I do transcribe and add as media on Ancestry.
By the way is your lineage through the MULLINGS line?
