Hi , Just found your message about lithuanians who came from Suwalki to Scotland early 1900's. My Grandfather was Lithuanian, not sure where he came from, but he settled in Craigneuk near Motherwell and worked down the mines, Sadly he died at the age of 37 so very little is known of him. He married there in 1906. His name on the marriage certificate shows Kasimieras Koiakas, I have found out that is definitely a spelling error and should read Kajokas, although nothing to confirm that. Was just wondering if you had any information about the lithuanians at that time, I have searched all the passenger lists and shipping lists of lithuanians entering the country but cant find him anywhere. Any little bit of help would be much appreciated . Thanks for your time. Kind regards Kathleen
