Hi, I know you posted this ages ago but I hope you are still getting this message, I am a descendant of Mary Millards sister Honora Millard, I have their parents but did not know about all the children of Mary and Edmond Supple, I only found the baptism of their son John 8 April 1855, Mallow co Cork.

I believe I am a descendant of Patrick Supple! Patrick Supple had a son also named Patrick who married Genevieve Hayes. They had tons of kids, but the only one I know of is my grandmother (1934-1997) named Anne Supple. She married my grandfather, Elmer Fangman and had 9 kids.One of which being my father, making the original Patrick Supple my great-great-grandfather.

Thanks for your reply. I have now found that Patrick (my Grandfather) was born in Liverpool in 1897 to Charles and Margaret and think I have found Charles' father (another Patrick) born in 1828 and married to Elizabeth. Apart from the 1891 census I can find no trace of Patrick in the UK and think he might have been born in Dublin ... and so the search continues!

Have found a Patrick Supple b 1828 listed in some public family trees but need a full membership to view them - will probably go this route as my curiosity is getting the better of me!

Am wondering is there a connection with your Supple's in early 19th Century Dublin as there seems to be fewer Supples in Dublin then say in Cork, where they are quite numerous.

My father was Padraig Supple son of Patrick Supple who married Mary Anne (Marion) Monaghan in 1926 (formally of Blackhorse Lane, Census 1911) who was a son of a Patrick Supple (possibly Dublin Zoo Keeper).

There has always been talk in my father's family of two brothers who originated in Liverpool and am wondering is there any connection to your Supples? I know there was a brother/son Charles who emigrated to US possibly in 1917.

I know this is a long shot - as your post was several years ago now!

Looking for information on James John Supple and Veronica Mary Armstrong of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia c1905- 1980.
James and Vera were my Uncle and Aunt by marriage. James is the son of William Supple and Ann Elizabeth Riordan. Vera (Veronica) is the daughter of Lavinia Robbins, formerley married to John Armstrong. It is beleived that Lavinia then married John Supple, Veronica went on to marry Henry John Black. James always presented Vera as his sister. Hoping for information to help me tie up this branch of the family tree.

Supple/Sullivan/Perry Family NYC

Looking for some information regarding some ancestors from the mid- to late-1800s in New York City.

Francis (Frank) Supple (Ireland 1844-1920) married Sarah Sullivan (1849-1922) and had three children, only one of whom survived: Johanna (Anna) Supple (1881-1962). Johanna married Harry Perry, a county clerk who worked on the lower east side of Manhattan and was involved in Tammany Hall with his half-brothers Christopher, Florence, and Dennis Sullivan (not related to Sarah).

Sarah Sullivan-Supple perished in a housefire on Broome St. in 1922.

I'm interested in finding information regarding the families (siblings/parents) of Sarah Sullivan and Frank Supple. Family history suggests that Sarah is somehow related to Maureen O'Sullivan(actress in mid 1900s), perhaps as a cousin.

Looking for info on the family of William Supple(1872-1944) and Mary Finnegan (1877-1916). I have found Mary's grave in Holy Cross Cemetery in Anamosa, but have had no luck finding William's. Did he remarry after her death? Many of his children moved to Minnesota. I believe William's parents were Francis Supple (1840-1877) and Bridget ? 1833-1904.

I saw your Messages in here and I'm very interesting of all. My Grandmother was Ellen Supple and live / died in Ireland. I didn't know nothing more about my familiy. I only know, that she have two childen, at first my mother Johanna Patricia Winters and her son James (Jim) Supple.

Is it possible, that you can give me more informations about the Supples in Ireland? Maybe I know a great grandmother Nelly? Sapple and a great granduncle Stephan.

Thank you for your response. Actually, I've had a chance to learn much about my Irish roots through Jim Moriarty, a second cousin living in Ennis, Co. Clare. I know that Thomas was the son of David Supple and Bridget Stritch. He had a couple of brothers, Joseph (came to the US) and David (passed away in 1923). He also had two sisters, Johanna (Jim Moriarty's grandmother) and Honora Josephine. I assume you are related through David.

Thomas came to America where he met and married an Irish girl, Julia Nally from County Mayo. Together they had three boys. The eldest, Thomas David, is my father. The others were John Joseph and Richard Bernard. All are now deceased.

My father married Philescene Kulot and they had five boys. The eldest is Thomas (what else?). I'm son number two. My other brothers are Stephen, Kevin and Rory.

I've been able to visit Ireland three times. On one occassion, we spent the night in Balleyheigue, went to Flahives Pub, and had a grand tour of the area courtesy of Jim.

I've done a lot on the family genealogy, especially as it relates to the family in America.

I'm researching the Supple family and unfortunately, I'm totally lost and have absolutely nothing to go on. I thought someone might recognize some of these names and be able to point me in the right direction. Any help is appreciated.

My g-g-grandmother was Mary Supple who married Charles Carter, I would guess some time around 1850'ish,

Thomas David Supple and Sarah McNaney were my husband's grandparents. I am not currently active with ancestry.com, but have posted as much work as I have done on our family tree. Did you find that tree? I don't remember who they were, but would have to refer to my tree. I plan to start working on the tree again soon.

Hello to a possible family member from an American Supplee! I have seen your posts on the message boards and you seem to have a lot of Ireland Supplee Family knowledge. Will you share with me? I am new to this and am always stopped on the shores of Ireland.

I am descended from William Supple (abt. 1877-1919), apparently from County Cork. He emigrated to the USA during the 1890s. He had a brother, Richard (abt. 1865-?), who apparently emigrated earlier. They both settled in Philadelphia, PA, and their name changed from Supple to Supplee.

William married Bridget Agnes Brown (1877-1965), who was born in England, but whose Irish parents were John Brown (1854-?) and Mary ___ (1855-?).

William and Agnes lived in Philadelphia and had three sons:
John Joseph Supplee (1901 – 1952)
William F. Supplee (1906 – ?)
Richard Thomas Supplee (1909 – 1984)

Thanks for the responce, yes we are connected to the moriartys at the post office our gran aunt was married to moriarty David at the glen farm. It was her sister that left the post office she owned to the moriartys. I will try to piece together our tree, the next time you visit we have to meet.

My Gt Gt Gt was the same John Supple who died whilst working at the Zoo. His son Patrick worked there as did his son John.
I have some interesting information to share with you, including the news of a book on the history of Dublin Zoo which includes pictures of our relatives.

The Records of St. Patrick's Church of Ireland, Monaghan Town, Ireland, show a Charles Marsh born on 8th May 1805 to William Supple & Arrabella Supple at Monaghan Town.

Does anyone know anything about Mary Supple? The only thing I know was she was born in Ireland, she married James Ferguson, had a daughter Margaret who married Edward O'Connor. I have Margaret and Edward living in Maidstone, Essex, Ontario, Canada. I don't have a birth time for her, but Margaret was born in 1851.

Parents of Sarah McNaney Supple were Thomas McNaney (1838 - ????) & Sarah Conklin (1848-1933). Buried at Woodlawn cemetery in Elmira, Chemung Co., New York.
