Thanks for your reply. I have now found that Patrick (my Grandfather) was born in Liverpool in 1897 to Charles and Margaret and think I have found Charles' father (another Patrick) born in 1828 and married to Elizabeth. Apart from the 1891 census I can find no trace of Patrick in the UK and think he might have been born in Dublin ... and so the search continues!

Have found a Patrick Supple b 1828 listed in some public family trees but need a full membership to view them - will probably go this route as my curiosity is getting the better of me!

Am wondering is there a connection with your Supple's in early 19th Century Dublin as there seems to be fewer Supples in Dublin then say in Cork, where they are quite numerous.
