Hi, Bill--

Sorry it has been too long for my response. The holidays, then some health problems.

I have spent the past month researching all this info- my daughter gave me a subscription to Ancestry for my birthday, so I've been finding all the info you have referenced, and that of Bonnie Serben, and a few others.

I agree with you that our Elizabeth Grub would have to be Johannes Peter Grub JR and Elizabeth's daughter. That would make the Jacob and Mary Grub who were witnesses to Eliz & John Super's son Andrew Jackson's baptism most likely Eliz Grub/Super's brother [Peter III] and his wife (prob Elizabeth Ache- md same church as Eliz/John Super the prior year). A Peter Grub and Philip Super were next door neighbors in the 1790 Census for Bucks, PA. Would make sense that their daughter and son got married! I have found a Philip Super d. 17 Mar 1832, and a Catharine Super d. 24 Jan 1833- buried at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Ardmore, Montgomery, PA..... Are they our Philip and Catherine?? Find a grave doesn't list birth dates and no pictures have been uploaded. The last census I can find Philip in is 1810...some places say he died 18 Apr 1816.... Weird.

I'm curious about John Super's birthdate of 3 Jan 1783 with his sister Catharina's being 23 Mar 1783..... John's date is listed on his gravestone for proof. Do we know where people are getting Catharina's bdate from??

I can't find John and Eliz. in the 1820 census,or 1840 census. In 1850 they have a Margaret age 23 with them but she is gone in 1860 - the 1860 Census where the last name was written as Luber- and Eliz's age doesn't fit her bdate on her gravestone either- at least John's is within the range. http://search.ancestry.com/Browse/View.aspx?dbid=7667&pa...
With that name glitch in 1860---tonight I'm just looking at that page and seeing that AJ's future wife is 4 doors down with her parents- William Conly. I have that page printed out and never noticed the LUBER name up top being our Supers. Funny. By the 1870 census, AJ is married and his family (wife Eliz., son John, and daughter Mary E) lives next door to his brother Peter, mother Elizabeth, and a Mary E age 28 b. NJ. Where did she come from???? I've never seen Peter married, never seen Mary E. before. Is she a sister that wasn't living at home during the other census reports? Is that who AJ named his daughter after?

Also of interest is a Daniel Super and his wife Magdalene Super that are buried in the same cemetery as John Super and Elizabeth Grub Super. Daniel b. 1784, d. 1843---that would put him the age of a brother to John- not his father and not his son. Magdalene b. 1777, d. 1840. That is the United Church of Christ Cemetery in Kratzerville, Snyder, PA. I haven't seen a Daniel listed as Philip and Catharina Super's son anywhere. I also haven't been able to find Daniel elsewhere.....

I think I'll stop this message now- I'm starting to go crazy trying to keep all of the above straight.

Michelle
