Hi to the Sumans!

I'm looking for a photo of the Col. Suman farm, Suman/Sumanville (also area known as "Thelma"), in Valparaiso, Indiana (Jackson Township, Porter County). I would like to have the Col. and family in the photo, for township historical purposes. This farm still exists and only have an artists "sketch" of it in 1876.

I'm also looking for the parents' names, residence and information, of his wife, Kate M. GOSS.

Following is a *very* condensed bit of information. If anyone has anything they would like to share, it would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Jan

Information that I have to identify this family......
(From 1882 Goodspeed History of Lake and Porter Counties, and 1912 History of Porter Co.)

Col. I. (Isaac) C. B. SUMAN, b. Jan. 4, 1831 in Frederick County, Maryland. # 6 of 7 children born to Albert and Mary (LANTZ) SUMAN. [Albert b. August 17, 1763 and Mary b. December 12, 1793] Albert, was a tanner and member of the Revolutionary War. They were "natives of the south, and of English-German descent."

May 1846 Col. SUMAN enlisted in the Mexican War.
After the war he went back to Maryland.

In 1852, he went to Wooster, Ohio, to live with an aunt.

He enlisted for the "war of the rebellion."

Married Kate M. GOSS, April 21, 1861

Sol. SUMAN purchased a farm c1865 in Jackson Township, where he platted Suman/Sumanville, served as Postmaster and resided until 1881, and became Postmaster of Valparaiso in 1882.
