The children of Robert Sully and Mary Cross are fairly well documented, except for John. Undocumented entries online suggest his spouse was Minnie Tomlinson, but I can't find any evidence.

I have built a circumstantial case that John Sully may have gone on to become a famous American bank check forger known as James Buchanan Cross--a criminal mastermind with amazing talents, that few prisons could hold.

I'd like to build that case or have someone knock it down, by offering more details on John Sully's life and whereabouts from late 1840s to 1870s.
