I don't have a lot on my Dan. Family oral history says my father, Eugene Victor Sullivan, and his sister were raised in a Catholic orphanage in or around Terre Haute.
Both parents dying at same time. My father never had a birth certificate or tried to locate any relatives, that I know of.When I tried to find Dads birth records, all that came up was "male child born to Dan and ---Sullivan" on the same day one year different as my father. Dan Sullivan's occupation was a peddler and he was 38 years old when Eugene was born. Eugene was the last of three children born to this couple. I am currently in process of searching for records in orphanages in that area for better information. I have two older brothers named Daniel and John L. both supposedly "family names". It is possible that there is a connection with your Daniel.What does your L. stand for in John's name.
