HUBBARD, Ohio – A strong golden heart stopped beating Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, as Barbara A. Berlin departed this life, after a 4 1/2-year courageous battle with cancer, at the Hospice House, Poland, Ohio (Mahoning County) with her loving family at her side.
Barbara enjoyed cooking, bingo and the outdoors.
She has left behind her very best friend and husband of 21 years, Gary Berlin.
Between the two of them, they had two children, Patricia Pittillo of Hendersonville, N.C., who gave her five grandchildren she adored, Kyle, Jenny, Josh, Luke, and Brooke; and Gary (Kim) Berlin Jr. of Westerville, who gave her two grandchildren, Tyler and Madison.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Grace and Daniel Sugden; and her two sisters, Carol Crisman and Claira Holloman.
She leaves behind her loving brother, Norman Sugden and wife Linda “Red,” who loved her very much; and her sister, Joanne Cody, both of Abington, Illinois.
She had many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for their support and care.
Barbara will be forever missed but never forgotten.
