My Grandmother was Monserrate Martinez y Suce de Ortiz (b) in Rio Grande or Fajardo or Vega Baja, P.R. in 1881/82. Her mother was a Suce (b) in France and her father was a Martinez (b) in P.R. Has anyone else seen the name spelled this way? This info is from 1920 census so maybe the spelling changed sometime or maybe it was spelled different by Spanish speaking people? Monserrate (m) Brigido Ortiz y Rosello. Any info on Suce from P.R. appreciated as I am at a brick wall. Dooshna@aol.com
