I found this in my records of data collected, found in
Brethren list:
(I couldn't find your Jacob in my database but am sure
he is related somehow, if you'd like a copy of what I
have, it is hard to ready but I can forward via e-mail.)
anyone by chance know if John A. Weybright born abt. 1854 might be
related to Martin Weybright 1757 PA.? John's daughter Clara Lucinda was
married to Amsey Clem. Amsey Clem was a "free" minister, elected as
one of several ministers by congregation members, at what is now the
Bethany Church of the Brethren near New Paris. He was named to the post
in 1899 having previously been elected a deacon of the church in 1898.
In 1908 he was elected a church elder. On the subject of migrations to
Elkhart Co. I am interested in any from Franklin co. PA. to Elkhart co.
area IN. my family came to Indiana in 1845 and it seems from census
information so did a lot of others that I did not find on the 1840
census. Are there any books on early Elkhart migrations?
