I am searching for information for James Madison Strickland (1841 - after 1910), my husband's gg-grandfather. This is what I know about the man:

1. He (and his parents) were born in North Carolina and moved to South Carolina at some point in the early to mid 1800s.

2. He was married three times: First to Savory ?. Second to Mary ?. Third to Sarah Ann Lawhorn. One of these three women was also known as Sibbie. Not sure if either one of his first two wives was also a Lawhorn.

3. He had a total of four children. 3 with Savory - Martha. William Beaty, and Rachel Marilla. 1 with Sarah - Annie Elizabeth.

4. He was a farmer in and around Florence County, South Carolina.

I would like to find the names (First names and maiden surnames) of James Madison Strickland's first two wives.

I would like to find out what happened to his oldest daughter, Martha Strickland.

I would like to know the names of his parents and maybe find an obit and where he was buried.

So, I'll keep looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
