Many thanks for your kind response to my message.
I believe that Thomas Street (a cordwainer and probably the father of Eliza Street), may have been born at or near Lurgashall, in Sussex, but this needs to be checked. Lurgashall is a small village, just over the Surrey county border and some of the Ancestry records spell the village/area as 'Ludgershall', which is confusing.
There is a village/area called Hambledon near Witley, Milford, Chiddingfold and Lurgashall, all of which appear to have had Street family members living there during the 19th century and possibly before then.
There's also a church at Witley where a Thomas Street 'from Ludgershall' and Sarah Clark from Witley were married.
It is very likely that they were Eliza Street's parents.
Eliza's son Henry Handley (Junior) was my great grandfather.
I believe that sadly Eliza may have gone blind in her later years.
I'm happy to share all my research. Kind regards
