John W Stone was my great-grandfather and also my "stone" wall. I have no idea who his parents were or when he died. I'm guessing sometime before 1906. He married Sarah Elizabeth Case (known as Bettie) in 1883 and I can find him in the 1900 Census living in Arkansas with Sarah and their 5 children. His birthplace is listed as Arkansas abt 1847 and his parents as being from Tennessee. Nothing after that, but I do have another marriage record for Sarah in 1906. She married a Cornelius in Bowie County, Texas (a marriage that ended soon after). This is why I think he must have died prior to this time. However, his son, John Franklin Stone (my grandpa) used to say his father "had two families." I have no clue what this meant.
