I am trying to link some records I have found for a Vencil Berry Stinnett in order to determine if the records all relate to the same person. I have several census records indicating that he is the son of Thomas Stinnett and Lettie Coker Stinnett. I have a WWI Draft registration record listing Lettie as his mother. There is also a VA record for a burial in Long Island National Cemetery.

In addition, there are articles in the Joplin Globe circa 1924 about a Vencil Stinnett who killed his brother Walter Lee Stinnett. I have not seen the results of the trial so I don't know if he was convicted and/or imprisoned.

Any information regarding this person or his family would be appreciated. I am a descendant of Lettie's brother, Lonnie Coker, and I am trying to fill in some gaps in the family history.
