Mr. Nollen, I do not have a picture of Delilah and I do not know if one exists. (I would love to see a pic of her too.) Of course, there might be a surviving picture of her lurking in someone’s attic, but my immediate family does not have it.

Jacob and Delilah had a large family with almost a dozen children. My family stayed in Marion County and inherited their farm because it was passed from eldest son, to eldest son, and finally to the youngest daughter (my great-grandmother). Many of the younger siblings moved away from the area and the family is now scattered across Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, California, Oregon, and Washington state. If a picture survived, any one of these branches could have it.

Thank you for writing about Delilah. I now need to look up your article. I live in Kansas City, where we have the country’s largest, freestanding genealogical library (The Midwest Genealogy Center). They subscribe to almost 400 magazines and newsletters from genealogical societies across the country. I know they receive Hawkeye Heritage because I have found articles about other family members in it.
