Do you know where exactly Frank and Simpson Stilwell were born in Iowa? I am very interested with them. I might be related, but I have not been able to make the connection in my family tree.

My great-grandmother's maiden name was Stilwell and she was born in Marion County, Iowa. There are tons of Stilwells in this county and they're all related. But here is where things get weird: Wyatt Earp and his brothers also spent part of their childhood Marion County, Iowa, living less than 5 miles away from great-grandmother's Stilwell family in Pella, (Marion County) Iowa. In fact, the town has turned the Earps' childhood home into a tourist attraction. It's located only one block from the town square and I toured it a couple of years ago.

If Frank and Simpson were also a part of my great-grandmother's Stilwell family and were born near Pella or Marion County, it's possible that the Earps and the Stilwells knew each other long before they crossed paths in Arizonia. The Earp-Stilwell feud might have gone back as far as Iowa.
